President's Message
June, 2010

Maybe we all don't notice that little box on the bottom of page 3 that gives us the location, date, and time of our next Board Meeting. May's issue was the first notice of our change of location. We will have a private room for ourselves, which we didn't have at Hobee's, so that gives the opportunity to remind all members that they are more than welcome to join us at our meetings and contribute ideas, plans, etc. for the betterment of our Society.

Now I'll put on my Parade Coordinator hat to remind everyone that our next parade is July 4 th (Sunday) in downtown Redwood City . Start time is 10:00am and this is one of the largest parades in the Bay Area. Come on out and cheer for our band and our country!

Bob Schulz' Frisco Jazz Band did another great job for us (thanks, Bob!) and did you notice the musicians Dick Williams has lined up for us in June? That will keep us all dancing and clapping for sure.

Thanks for being a tradjazzer.

Please remember to help with our raffle gift and/or band sponsorships. They are both necessary to keep us going.

By the way, if you have a need to jive on steady diet of 20's and 30's music try the Internet. Go to www.live365.com and find Radio Dismuke from Fort Worth , Texas (# 52 in the jazz category ) and Radio Ianhouse from our own Silicon Valley , California (see Sweet & Lovely, # 43 in the jazz category) and get ready for old dance music 24 hours a day, worldwide.
