PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE GEORGE TROLLMAN

Once again, we thank Mission Gold Jazz Band for providing us with another fine afternoon of listening and dancing pleasure. The size and enthusiasm of the crowd assures that they will be back again. But hang onto your hats, kids. We’re not done yet showcasing the finest that Dixieland has to offer! That’s right —it’s Professor Plum Reunion time. We have all been waiting for this month since we first heard of their coming to South Bay again. Hope to see you all there. .

Time to start nagging again about the need for help with our Board of Directors. Just recently one of our stalwarts had to reduce their work load, but we were able to avoid a problem with that from within the Board. But that can’t happen forever. We need new blood and we need it by year’s end. If you can help, see or call any Board member (we’re listed on the inside cover of our newsletter). We’ll welcome you with open arms! Also, we still need donations for our Raffle and Band Sponsors and Co-Sponsors. Any way you can help will be much appreciated.

See you there! George

By the way, if you have a need to jive on steady diet of 20's and 30's music try the Internet. Go to www.live365.com and find Radio Dismuke from Fort Worth , Texas (# 52 in the jazz category ) and Radio Ianhouse from our own Silicon Valley , California (see Sweet & Lovely, # 43 in the jazz category) and get ready for old dance music 24 hours a day, worldwide.
